FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q  -  Are the events run in accordance with UKA Regulations?
A  -  Yes.  The Mablethorpe Marathon Foundation is an affiliated member of UKA.

Q  -  How many Drink Stations are there?
A  -  Every 5K or better

Q  -  Can runners own drinks be placed around the course?
A  -  Yes 

Q  -  Is there parking for runners near the Start Point ?
A  -  Yes. Parking is available for Runners on Sherwood Fields  and near the Starting Area

Q  - Are there showers available?
A  -  Yes. Male and Female Showers together with changing rooms, are located at one end of the the
      Football and Athletic Club pavilion.

Q  -  Is there a changing area available?
A -   Yes see above.

Q  -  Is there  a Left Luggage facility?
A  -  Yes

Q  - Are there Male and Female toilet facilities?
A -  Yes, Toilets (including disabled) are located in several places on Sherwood Field. Around the course,           toilets are located near each Drink Station for the Full and Half marathon and are also located near the        RNLI Lifeboat Station on the promenade.

Q  - Is there a warm-up area on the Field?
A  - Yes

Q  -  Is there an Information Point?
A  -  Yes

Q  -  Will there be a Timing System?
A  -  Yes

Q  -  Will the roads be closed?
A  -  Partial closures -  Access Only

Q  -  Will each course have direction signs?
A  -  Yes

Q  -  Are there Safety and Direction Marshals around the course?
A  -  Yes

Q  - Will refreshments be available?
A  -  Yes

Q - How soon after the event will the results be available?
A - Provisional Results are published by Raceahead very soon after the last event. Your personal result will        be sent to your mobile, providing that you have forwarded your mobile number to the Registration                Secretary.

Q  -  Will entries be taken on the day?
A  -  No - Closing Date is 29th August 2008

Q  -  Is there a limit to the numbers of runners?
A  - Yes   Provisionally - Full Marathon - 500    Half Marathon 500    10K - 500 

Q  -  After last years success and the limits for each race, how will I know if I have been accepted or
      unsuccessful?
A  -  Your application will be responded to within 5 days. However if we ever reached a stage where we
      would have to reject an application, a phone call would be made on the day of receipt of application.
      We do not envisage the above figures to be exceeded. However, we shall use our best endeavors to
      ensure that all applications are successful, up to the closing date
 
Q -  Will I have to register before the race?
A -  No

Q - Are you accepting Wheelchair entries?
A - Yes - But because of only single numbers there are no special wheelchair events.
